Vocational Training Teams

We have sponsored Emma, a community development worker, to travel with a vocational training team to southern France, and Jane, a dietician and academic, to do the same to Germany. We enjoy meeting the vocational training teams that come to Canberra. Woden Daybreak assisted with organising the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Leadership Development for Midwives of South Pacific Countries' Vocational Training Teams. See Vocational Teams to learn more.

Vocational Awards

Each year, we select a different profession and provide $500 and a plaque to a practitioner in that field in recognition of their outstanding contribution.

Vocational Visits and Talks

Now and then we enjoy a visit to a work place with a difference. Recent examples are the Namadgi National Park, Mount Stromlo Observatory and the John Curtin School of Medical Research, all of which provided entertaining tours and speakers. From time to time, our own members are asked to talk about their working lives at meetings.
